My wife and I tooka five-week, unplanned, Eastern seaboard road trip several years ago.  We arrived in Boston, hopped into a rental car and headed north. One of our first stops was Rockport, Massachusetts, an hour north of Boston. We haven’t been the same since.

We spent three days there! The history, charm and lifestyle of the community was one of the highlights of our trip. We created a photo journal of the doors of Rockport, MA.  We have an archive of medium format color slides (Pentax 6×7) of dozens of the doors we found in Rockport. Each door gas an historic connection to the early days of Rockport.

Rockport is more than 160 years old; one of the earliest communities in the Americas.  The beaches of Rockport are lined with boulder outcroppings and the marina area affords visitors great dining and shall we say “cool” buildings to look at.

Painters, photographers, writers and people from all walks of life love Rockport, Massachusetts.  If you want a romantic getaway, some great dining and a memorable shopping experience, visit Rockport, MA.
